Avenue Post School Options
Avenue is a day program alternative that provides young people with disability, or students looking for post-school options, with the opportunity to engage in meaningful work tasks, socialise and develop their individual skills and confidence, regardless of their support needs.
Transition from school to post-school can be a stressful time for a young person with disability, and their family or carer/s. Many people find their post-school options are limited, and some programs don’t offer the opportunity for ongoing learning, or to engage in meaningful and purpose-driven work activities. That’s why we’ve designed Avenue to be different to traditional disability day programs.
In our Avenue Work program, we support school-leavers with disability to complete work tasks for real businesses by joining Avenue microbusiness teams or working on their own ideas as an entrepreneur, in a fully supported, purpose-built environment.

Avenue also offers Avenue Social, where participants can access the events and activities they choose in the broader community, while building skills and lasting friendships. Learning is an essential element of Avenue Social, with each participant having an individual skill development plan tailored to their goals.

If you or your person is still at school, we can offer trials during the school holiday period, or work with your school to provide work experience, so you can get to know us and understand Avenue better as a post-school option.
Avenue has locations in Parramatta, Botany, Newcastle and Frenchs Forest. We are driven by the belief that everyone can be productive, and fully take part in our society economically and socially.
