Looking at post-school options? Be empowered with Avenue’s unique day program

Find out more at Avenue Newcastle’s upcoming information session on Wednesday 5 June from 4.00pm.

Transitioning from school to post-school can be a stressful time for a young person with disability, and their family or carer/s. Many people find their post-school options are limited, and some programs don’t offer the opportunity for ongoing learning. That’s why we’ve designed Avenue to be different to traditional disability day programs. We provide opportunities to engage in meaningful and purpose-driven work activities, as well as the opportunity to enjoy community-focused and skill-building social outings.

What to expect:

  • Discover how we support school-leavers with disability to engage in running a microbusiness in a fully supported space.
  • Learn about our community access social program that builds skills and lasting friendships.
  • Hear from one of our participants who recently transitioned from school.
  • Take a tour of our purpose-built hub.
  • Ask any questions you might have.

Numbers are limited, so make sure you RSVP.

Valuable for potential participants and their families, teachers, schools and other referrers.

Date: Wednesday 5 June, 4:00pm – 5:00pm
